A celebration of lights and lanterns.
Lets come together for the German tradition of the lantern walk.
This event is a cooperation of the Goethe Society and the Rhein Donau Club.
We will be meeting from 5.15pm at Marmion Reserve, Myaree, with the variety of your own lanterns the kids are bringing along. We will start to sing at 5.30pm and than walk around the lake.
To warm up and listen to the story and a short play of St. Martin we will be meeting back at the Rhein Donau Club.
According to legend, a soldier named Martin cut his red cloak in half to share with a beggar during a snowstorm.
